These bowls were designed especially to be sold in aid of the Tsunami Asian Quake Appeal.
These are now part of my regular designs for sale and sales no longer go to the appeal but I have kept the name and the designs together and the prices the same.
Total sales to go to the appeal amounted to a staggering US $859.64 which is around GB £450!!!! Gross sales before Paypal fee stand at US $908. Thank you very much. I have donated that money to the fund in two payments - £355 and £92 making a total of £447. Click here to see receipt for my donation
As I am British, the money was sent to the appeal through www.dec.org.uk - The Disasters Emergency Committee - which is the organisation set up to receive money in the UK - on behalf of various charities including Oxfam and the British Red Cross. In reality it really does not matter which specific charity the money goes to as it will all go to help those affected by the disaster that took place on 26th December 2004.
I would like to thank my team of test stitchers who have not only helped with the stitching but also provided much needed moral support. Words cannot express how grateful I am for their help and advice, given so freely. Thank you Lia, Susy, Carla, Cris, Vanessa, Cathy, Peggy, Teri, Helen, Cheryl, Shirley, Kathy, Barbara, Eileen...... I hope I haven't forgotten any names.
Most of the photos of finished items have been provided by my test stitchers.
