A companion to the Scented Snowflake Coaster designs using the same methods and designs to create a Hot Pad which measures approx 7x7” in size. Currently the design is only available for machines which have a 7” hoop or larger such as the Brother Innovis 4000D which has a 7x12” hoop or the Janome 11000 with a 8x8” hoop, also many commercial embroidery machines will fall into this category. I am working on a version for smaller hoops but may not get it finalised in time for Christmas. Click here to see the files you will receive. There are a total of 18 files, 6 different inners, and the same 6 outers with and without a satin stitch edge. I have put in colour changes for the small snowflakes so that you can change their colours if you wish. Please check carefully that your machine can stitch out files of this size! The plain version is quicker to stitch out as the stitch count is less and would suit those who do not like trimming away excess fabric in the hoop such as you would have to so in the satin stitch edged versions. The only jump stitches are the unavoidable ones. The coasters have a removable inner section which you can fill with a scented mix such as scented rice/wheat & lavender mix/granulated potpourri. There are 6 different sets of inners so that you can choose the one that suits your choice of filling best. The design set comes with a complete step by step pdf instruction file to help you stitch out and make up your scented coasters and includes all 12 snowflake files and the 6 inners. They are quick and easy last minute gifts to make. |
