Paypal - Notification of Payment emails - are not always arriving in my inbox for some unknown reason, sometimes delayed, sometimes not at all. This is beyond my control. If you’ve not received your designs within a few hours, please forward on the details for me to verify against my Paypal account to sue4tdesigns@btinternet.com and then I can send out your designs. Thanks for understanding.

Please read through this information page. Hopefully it will give you answers to most of your questions.

All of my designs have been tested using polyester and/or rayon 40wt embroidery thread which is the most commonly obtained weight of thread for home embroiderers.  If any other type of thread is recommended or should be used, it will state so in the instructions.

Formats available are PES, JEF and HUS.  However, if you are unable to convert from one of these formats, then please email me and I will convert the design in Embird for you, it is NOT a problem and I am more than happy to provide this service free of charge. There are so many different formats out there that I am trying to keep things simple this way.  Embird cannot convert to ART or SHV format.

All files are sent by email attachment.  There is no instant download of designs.

If you would like to have your designs sent to you on CD, then this service is available at a worldwide cost of $5.  Please bear in mind I live in the UK so it could take at least a week for it to reach your country. Signed for or tracked delivery is available please ask for a quote..

These machine embroidery designs have been designed and digitised by me, Sue Gardner.  Therefore the copyright of these designs belongs to me.  Please do NOT under any circumstances pass on or sell on these designs.  This includes the designs being in or on a cd/other electronic storage media/email for sale/sharing/lending out in any form to a third party. Only you the purchaser has the right to have these designs in your possession, no-one else and only you have the licence to use them and stitch them out. You cannot claim them to be your own work even if you’ve added elements of your own digitising or altered them in any way.   This applies to both the free designs and the designs for sale. Purchased design sets can be tracked back to the original purchaser. Please do not share.

Artwork: To the best of my knowledge, where artwork etc has been used it is copyright or royalty free such as from Dover Publications or websites that specifically sell to digitisers. In other cases permission has been granted from the owner of the artwork for me to digitise it. It is entirely possible to see the same artwork used by other digitisers who have used the same source for their work. Occasionally I feel brave and don’t use artwork and draw on the screen.

Got a problem? Like everyone else I am only human, therefore if you find a problem with your stitch files, converting designs or anything else related to my designs, please contact me so that I can try and sort the problem out and I will do my best to answer/resolve your query quickly. If you don’t tell me, I can’t fix it! 

If you do have a problem with a design, I do expect you to work with me to achieve a satisfactory stitch out as most problems can easily be resolved with a little bit of time and effort on both sides. As the designs are fully tested before they are put up for sale on a variety of machines, most problems turn out to be down to minor issues such as not understanding instructions properly or using the wrong materials.  If you choose to not follow the instructions and/or any help offered then that is your choice but don’t complain if the design doesn’t come out right as it was designed to be done in a particular way and I can’t be held responsible if you deviate from the instructions.

Other: Rudeness and/or threats of any kind will not be tolerated under any circumstances and I will cease to deal with you. This may sound a little harsh but there are a few ladies out there who buy designs, complain, demand refunds and won’t work with the digitiser to resolve problems as they only want a refund i.e. designs for free. Website owners do talk to each other and we get to know who you are.

Like with ordering, please allow 24-48 hours for me to make an initial response to your query. I do have a life away from the computer and need to sleep, have a young family and do have days out of the house and other things to do for whatever reason. 

Occasionally emails do go missing. Either I never receive them or they never reach their destination. This is beyond my control so if you are expecting a reply and haven’t heard anything for 48 hours (unless I have stated I am unavailable - see below), please re-send the message preferably using a read receipt request, for some reason they are more likely to reach their destination if you do that.

If ever I am going away for more than a day or two, I will place a message on my website that will be visible at the top of every page clearly stating dates when I will be unavailable.

The website, instruction files and digitising are all my own work unless otherwise stated.

I have a wonderful team of test stitchers with a good variety of machines. I can’t thank them enough for all the encouragement, support and suggestions passed my way.

Gift Certificates/Buying on behalf of another person: Whilst I don’t offer gift certificates on my website, if I’ve got the time I will consider working with a customer who wishes to purchase designs or set up some sort of credit for a 3rd party.  You must contact me BEFORE purchase to discuss and get the go ahead before proceeding with the purchase as sending designs to that third party yourself, even if they are a close family member, is a breech of copyright.

Refunds: I operate a strict no refund policy.  Due to the electronic nature of embroidery files and it’s ability to be reproduced, purchases are non-refundable once I have sent out files, regardless of whether you claim to have received them or not at the time of requesting a refund. Once they are sent they are sent and I can’t unsend them as they could turn up days later having for example been delayed in transit or eventually located lurking in your spam folder. Defective files will be replaced like for like.  Therefore please double check before finalising your order that you have the right format/set/size in your basket/cart. If it’s not showing up correctly in the basket/cart please contact me before ordering.  The only refunds/credit notes I will consider, at my discretion, would be in the case of a verifiable duplicate order or the cancellation of an order before designs have been sent.

I reserve the right to not sell to particular customers if it comes to my attention that they are known sharers or otherwise difficult for whatever reason.  Your money will be refunded and no designs will be sent if I do not wish to do business with you and I may choose not to elaborate on why I don’t want you as my customer. Paypal may also be informed of the decision as to why your business is not welcome.
