How plain would you like your lace? This set was specifically designed with the requests I’ve seen from many people in mind when they are asking for plain lace to which they can add another design. To be stitched on water soluble stabiliser.

The bowl and doily come in two shapes - a curved and a pointed edge. And in two sizes - to fit the 4x4” and 5x7” hoops.

There are also two variations of each piece. One is a one colour version, the other is a 3 colour version where the lace grid is stitched twice with the 2nd colour being stitched in between the lines of the 1st colour creating an interesting tweedy effect if you choose your colours carefully. And then you can stitch the satin stitch outline in a 3rd colour. Or of course you can stitch this multi-colour version in one colour as it will give you a much denser/thicker piece of lace.

	Helen added a little scroll embellishment of her own to the doily. You can see the tweedy effect created by using two different colours on the bowl.

	And here’s the doily again. Cris alternated the pointy and curved pieces.

There are some additional matching pieces (squares, circles etc) that if not already added to my yahoo group will be added shortly and can be downloaded for free.

		REMINDER: These designs are completely PLAIN. All embellishments (penguins, fairies, scrolls etc) are NOT part of the design set and are NOT digitised by me and have been added by my testers to show what they did with the design..
