This is a free standing lace design which has been cleverly created so as you can create a continuous border.  There are 8 beach/ocean related designs in this set that come in both a filled and an outline version and are available as a set of regular designs as well as the FSL border designs. There are no jump stitches apart from those that are unavoidable such as eyes.

There are 2 sets of FSL border designs available.  There is the “joinable” set which can be joined in the hoop.  Instructions on how to do this are provided in a colour pdf instruction file. Secondly there is the “sew together” set for those who would prefer to sew the individual pieces together.

Ellie created the wonderful table runner above by using the border pieces and embroidering the individual designs on the runner.

Above are other suggestions on to how you could use the designs. Cecila created the purse using files from my Quilt Block set and added the border.  The lace border can brighten up what would otherwise have been a plain white t-shirt. I created the box myself for and embroidery swap I was involved in.  Unfortunately the photo does not show up very well the fact that I embroidered the outline designs on the sides and lid in turquoise thread.
