Formats available are PES, JEF and HUS. However, if you are unable to convert from one of these formats, then please email me and I will convert the design in Embird for you, it is NOT a problem and I am more than happy to provide this service free of charge. There are so many different formats out there that I am trying to keep things simple this way. Embird cannot convert to ART or SHV format.
However, I am able to get designs converted into ART if I ask a friend nicely :-) Please allow an extra day or two if you require ART so that I can send it off to be converted. Embird will convert to EXP which is the native format for some Artista machines.
My designs are unfortunately not suitable for use with the Marie Osmond Expressions machine as we have found out that these machines will only read designs which were digitised in Artista and conform to the Grade A & B standard. Designs digitised in other software such as Embird/PE Design when converted to ART format are Grade C or D Artista files and are unable to be read by this machine. I worked with a customer until we discovered this was why she was unable to read converted ART files.
If you want to purchase a design for the Janome SEW format, please ask first and if I can resize the design to fit I will.
Please also check out the links section of the group as there are links to 2 free programmes which will help you change formats and resize your designs.
These designs have been tested on a variety of machines, and are usually all personally test sewn by me using my Janome 300e or my Brother Innovis 4000D. I use PE Design v6 to digitise and Embird Studio. Designs are normally manually punched.
File naming: A quick note about file naming. If you have ordered PES, you may see that there is “v4” at the end of every file. This indicates that the file was saved as PES v4. If you need a lower version of PES, please ask. If a design has 2 sizes, 5x7” & 4x4”, the smaller sizes usually have 4x4” in the file name. If there is no v4 in the file name then the design was probably one that I digitised in Embird Studio.
